This PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner training helps you apply Agile approaches within the PRINCE2 framework, giving you the tools to deliver projects with structure and adaptability. As an internationally recognised certification, it is ideal for those in project, programme, or change roles who want to enhance their expertise.

If you plan to take the PRINCE2 Agile v1 exam to which this learning is aligned, please be aware of these key dates:

You’ll need to purchase your exam voucher (including Take2 and retakes) by 30th December 2025.
All exams must be taken by 30th June 2026, or before your exam voucher expires — whichever comes first.
These deadlines are set by the exam provider and, unfortunately, can’t be extended.

PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner training course

Ideal for

Suitable for project managers, agile specialists, Scrum Masters, programme leads, PMO staff, CIOs, and professionals working in change and project support roles.

Prerequisites

To sit the exam, you must already hold an accepted project management certificate. A full list of eligible qualifications can be found in the FAQs.

Exam information

The assessment lasts 150 minutes. It is a scenario-based, multiple-choice exam that is open book. You’ll need at least 60% to pass. The exam is delivered online with remote invigilation.

Optional extras

You can add the official PRINCE2 Agile manual and Take² exam insurance to your order if required.

Pre-course

A short online preparation module is compulsory for those choosing either classroom or live virtual classroom study options.

What qualifications do I need before taking the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam?

You’ll need to already hold one of several recognised project management certifications before attempting the Practitioner exam. Accepted options include:

PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation
PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
Project Management Professional (PMP)®
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®
IPMA Levels A–D (Certified Projects Director to Certified Project Management Associate)

Does the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certification need renewal?

Yes. The Practitioner certificate is valid for three years. To remain certified, you must renew before it expires. PeopleCert offers different routes for recertification, which are explained in more detail on their official site

How much time will it take to complete the course?

Classroom and live virtual classroom formats each run over two days. For every option, you’ll have one year from purchase to sit the exam.

What score do I need to pass the exam?

The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions based on scenarios. It is open book, and to pass you’ll need to achieve at least 30 correct answers, which equals a 60% pass mark.
