About the course

Gain practical knowledge of agile techniques, values and behaviours, and explain how these complement PRINCE2’s structured methodology. You’ll learn how Agile integrates with the PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to enable flexible, well-governed projects.

Once certified, you’ll be equipped to contribute meaningfully to agile-led change within your organisation.

Duration

This is an intensive three-day course, conducted in a virtual training environment.

To take part in the course you need to ensure you can satisfy certain technical requirements. 

By the end of the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation course, you should be able to:

  • Get to know the Agile Onion and how it frames agile values and culture

  • Understand typical roles within a PRINCE2 Agile team and how responsibilities are shared

Materials

Digital ILX course materials: These will be accessible via the ILX portal. Full instructions with a link to the portal will be issued within 48 hours of your confirmed booking.The course materials will be provided in a PDF format and available for download. You will need to download and save the materials to your device, so that you can annotate them during the training course.

Digital official manual: You will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days prior to course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered you will be able to access the digital version of your manual. Please note: There is a 5-year limitation in accessing your digital eBook.

Hardcopy official manual: If you decide to purchase the hardcopy official manual as an optional extra your manual will be shipped to your chosen address within 48 hours of purchase.

Hardcopy process map: If you decide to purchase the hardcopy process map as an optional extra it will be shipped to your chosen address within 48 hours of purchase. 

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days  prior to course commencement to register on the PeopleCert portal. Once registered you will be able to book your online exams at a date and time of your choice. You are responsible for booking your own exams. Find out more about the technical requirements and how to take your online exams.

Recertification: This certification requires renewal within three years of the award date to remain current. There are multiple ways to recertify, find out more about the options on the PeopleCert website. 

Exam format

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

  • 60 minutes
  • Multiple-choice
  • 40 questions, each worth one mark
  • 60% pass mark (24/40)
  • Closed book
