I was told prior to the course that there was nothing to do in preparation which was bad information. I called the on call tutor Steve B who advised me correctly to complete the exam simulations, without this information I would have been screwed!
I was quite apprehensive before taking this course as it has been a long time since I had done classroom based learning, but the pre course materials were very helpful in settling my nerves. The course itself was very well led and very structured, a mix of individual learning and group activities which I found kept me on my toes. The homework was a good amount, enough to keep everything you had studied that day fresh and not too much that it overwhelmed you after a full day of learning.
Booking the course was easy and straightforward.

The first teacher we had was excellent, she really brought the subject to life with real examples everyone could understand. Unfortunately she had to go off ill and we got a substitute on the last two days. The second teacher was much less engaging and confused matters more than was necessary. I seriously feel that I unlearnt things in those last two days.
Great! Hard work too
Consideration should be given to providing candidates with a short DVD to support pre-course reading. This would enable earlier understanding in course content and ensure interpretation/understanding of material is better understood and more in line with how the tutor will deliver the course.
The trainer (Dennis Sheehan) was excellent and provided a lot of context to theory.
Felt confident going in to both exams that we had covered all topics thoroughly.

Overall very good - Steve was one of the best teachers I have ever had. Extremely engaging and had unqiue methods to help you absorb knowledge quickly.
The training was well organised and the trainer,Bill, was excellent! Very enthusiastic and helpful!
More practical examples would had helped the course.
Great location and facilities - excellent food, both in quality and choice.
Trainer was superb - the use of actual examples really helped cement understanding.
Course length - for me I could have done with another day for the practitoner course as half of one of the 2 days is taken up with the exam itself.
Excellent course
The overall experience was good. The initial information that is sent through to candidates directly should be improved to prevent confusion. This should include the deadlines and the general flow of how the qualification process works e.g. foundation and then practitioner and the time limits that apply. Generally the content of the material was clear and concise.
I felt the trainer was great for Foundation but wasn't so helpful in Practitioner, she wasn't interested in helping with anything extra other than the exam questions, didn't follow up when people were uncertain about sitting the exam and didn't offer any encouragement or reassurance.
The admin function let down the service. My exam results were held back as my previous Prince 2 registration details were not supplied by ILX to People Cert.
Very good course, useful information, Karen was a very good trainer and she helped me understand methodology of project management very quickly.
